CAP Mission Statement
Community Action Partnership of Warren County (CAP) is a group of community members committed to building a safe, healthy, and drug – free community by preventing and reducing substance abuse among youth. CAP has adopted a proactive approach. Rather than focusing on what NOT to do, we want our community to know what they CAN do! Building assets is something every member of our community CAN do and it's easy. Click Join us to find out how.
Upcoming Events
April is Alcohol Awareness Month. During this month we would like to raise awareness about the dangers of underage drinking and would like to hear from our Warren County students. We invited any student from kindergarten through twelfth grade to submit their original artwork or a short essay on the topic: STOP. THINK. DON'T DRINK. Click on the link for the poster contest winners! Click Join Us to receive further information about the coalition and to get involved!
Did You Know Alcohol is the most frequently used drug by teenagers in the United States. About half of junior high and senior high school students drink alcohol on a monthly basis, and 14% of teens have been intoxicated at least once in the past year. Nearly 8% of teens who drink say they drink at least five or more alcoholic drinks in a row (binge drink).
